To celebrate Brent's 50th birthday, we made our wind up a 50's theme dance as a surprise for him. He did not miss a beat, and called to the theme despite having no time to prepare. Just one of the reasons we love him! Thanks to the many visitors who made it such a fun evening, and to Amanda and Megan for calling and cuing. Press here to view snapshots from the event.
That evening we also chose burgundy and white as our club colours, and are working with Sandy's Badges on how the badges will look.
Without planning it, nine Brent's Bunch couples visited the Swinging Singles on May 3, some in our new club colours. The Singles were celebrating that Brent has been calling for them for 10 years. They will have their last dance of the season Tuesday, May 10 and a few couples plan to attend. Join us!
And Saturday May 14 is the season wind-up for the Rainbow Squares. We plan to meet for dinner at the Rusty Wagon across the street from Ten Mile Grange at 5:30 p.m. Pre-rounds are at 7:00 p.m. Let me know if you want a place at dinner reserved for you.

Welcome to our new blog!
We've changed our club name to Brent's Bunch and have set up this new blog to reflect the change. Check out the blog to see what we're up to, and better yet, come visit! We will be dancing until April 28, our wind up and "reverse" Mystery Dance where we have picked a theme but aren't telling our caller until he arrives that evening.
We will publish our fall schedule closer to the time.

Mystery Dance April 7
Brent called a great Michael Buble theme dance last Thursday. Can you tell which one is Brent?

Thanks to the Swinging Singles and other visitors for joining us.
Here is a link to photos. I apologize I did not get a photo of everyone - I got sidetracked when the coffee break was early.
Thanks to all those who helped out!

Chuckouts March 7 update
Our last DARK night is this coming Thursday, March 10. We will resume with our St. Patrick's Dance on Thursday, March 17.
We are visiting the Royal Swingers on Friday the 11th. It will be their St. Patrick's Day dance, so wear a bit o' green rather than club colours. Although Chuck and I had intended to go, we have had a change of plans and won't be there.
March 24 will be our Easter dance, Wear your Easter bonnet.
The Swinging Singles will visit April 7 and we will use the occasion to hold a Mystery Theme dance. Prizes will be given to those whose costumes most closely match the theme that Brent will reveal on that night.
See you soon!

Rainbow Squares Disney Dance
A square of us had a lot of fun tonight visiting the Rainbow Squares for their Disney Dance. Brent called a stellar dance, which tied in with his Mickey Mouse wizard hat with colour changing stars. Tom and Bea, former Chuckwagon 8s, joined us for dinner first, as did Ken and Sheila from the Happy Hoppers. Dave and Jenny's multiple hats were a delight. A wonderful time!
