I was trying real hard to download a John Denver song Freight Train Boogie / Choo Choo Ch'Boogie to my Phanfare music but ran into technical issues which I spent more hours than I want to confess trying to figure out.    Rather than delay further, I've chosen another song so if you view using slideshow mode, you will be serenaded to the Glen Miller Orchestra Chattanooga Choo-Choo.

Brent Calls at Mt. Baker Council Dance

Chuck and I visited the October 29 dance called by Brent and his friend, Scott Coon.  As at Cle Elum, they did a fantastic job!

Visit to Royal Swingers

Here is a group photo taken at the Royal Swingers tonight.  We had a great time and thank Steve, Lynnette and the club for their warm hospitality.  It was great to have Brent and Therese out with us, and Brent participate in the calling.

Celebrating Debra

Debra completed an 86 day bike ride across Canada on August 2.  We celebrated her achievement with bicycle cookies on our first night of dancing.  Debra is our second member to cycle across Canada, and our pioneer Don provided lots of advice and support.

Club visit

We are DARK September 22 due to a regatta at Burnaby Lake Pavilion.  We will visit the Royal Swingers on Friday, September 23.

Brent's Weekend at Circle 8 Ranch

Two squares of Brent's Bunch went to Circle 8 Ranch last weekend for Brent Mawdsley & Scott Coon's Mainstream weekend.  They called a wonderful dance.  Unfortunately Linda had a fall and hit her head, sustaining a concussion, and she spent the night in the local hospital.  She went home on schedule but recovery will take some time.  Other than that clear exception, we had a great time getting together as a group, enjoying our Brent and explaining that yes, we really are a club, we're not just a bunch of Brent's groupies (or are we?)  Next year is Brent's 25th year calling at Circle 8 and we hope to have an even bigger group there to celebrate with him and his family.  Thanks to Rob and Abe for providing the photos.
