Reminder that Brent's Bunch is DARK this week

Brent's Bunch will not be having a dance this Thursday because there is a wedding booked at Burnaby Lake Pavilion.

Nobody does justice to a love song like Brent, and if you missed our Valentines Dance or want to hear him again, he will be calling with Steve Edlund on Tuesday, February 13 at Surrey Square Wheelers, Brookswood Seniors Centre,19899 36 Avenue, Langley.  Chilliwack Rhythm Reelers will be visiting so it should be a fun night to join them.

A sad note - many of you will remember Roger Monot, whose obituary was published this weekend.  The family will have a private celebration.

Burns Night

Because we are DARK on January 25, we held our Robbie Burns dance last week.  Some of the tunes required a bit of thinking to make the Scottish connection, and Brent did his usual stellar job of calling them all.  Thanks to our visitors for attending, Bruce McL for his spirited address to the McHaggis, Dianne and Daphne for treats and Dave & Jenny for decorations.  Here are a few photos.

 

 

Brent’s Bunch is DARK Thursday, January 4

Happy New Year!

We want to let any visitors know that the City of Burnaby is installing a new floor in the Pavilion this week so we are not able to dance on Jan 4. So please don't visit this week, but we would be very pleased to see you for a try out of the new flooring or just a social visit next week, or at our Burns Night the following week, January 18.

Our revised schedule is posted at the top of the sidebar at right.  We hope to see you soon!

Christmas Wind Up

 
We had a fun wind up with 4 squares dancing. Here is a photo of (most of) the toys collected for the Burnaby Christmas Bureau.

Burnaby will be installing new flooring at the hall the first week of January, and so our start up has been delayed to January 11, 2018.  We will post an updated schedule as soon as we are able to confirm our proposed addition of a different dance night.
