Circle 8 Ranch

Seven Brent's Bunch couples attended Brent Mawdsley & Scott Coon's weekend at Circle 8 Ranch in Cle Elum WA this past weekend.  Here is a photo of the happy bunch under the new club sign posted at the hall.

We were very fortunate to have Julio Inglesias and Willie Nelson stop by for a duet after Saturday night's dance.

As you can see by the photos (select slideshow under More Options at top right of the screen), we had a wonderful time!  Thanks to Maryanne, Steve of Bonney Lads 'n' Lassies and me for providing the photos.

Ron and Bel placed second in the Bocce Tournament.  Therese and Scott teamed up to take first prize in the potato chip identification contest.

Hi Everybody,

I hope you all having a great summer.  We look forward to seeing many of you at the Abbotsford Summer Dance, Sun Aug 19, and / or at Circle 8 Ranch, Aug 24-26.  I also hope you are all looking forward to getting back to regular dancing in the fall as I am. 

Brent’s Bunch will start dancing again on Thursday, September 13, at the Burnaby Lake Pavilion from 7:30 – 9:45pm. 

We have 11 nights of dancing in the fall of 2018 as shown in the schedule.  

Of course visitors are always welcome.  The visitor fee is $7.50 per person per night to be put in the jar, so please bring exact change.

Celebration of Life for Gary Long

I wanted to let you know about a Celebration of Life Memorial for Gary this July 17th, 2018 on the one year anniversary of his passing. It's a casual drop in with light refreshments from 1:00 to 4:00 at the Burnaby Rowing Pavilion. I would be so happy to see anyone who could stop by for a visit. I've attached an invitation with the details.

Visit to Stardowners

A square and a half of us enjoyed the warm hospitality and a fun evening with the Stardowners on Thursday night.  They kindly held a Plus night to allow us to visit.

We look forward to their return visit at our Mystery Dance on April 19!

Brent's Bunch is DARK April 12

A reminder we are DARK at Burnaby Lake Pavilion this week.  The Stardowners are kindly hosting a Plus dance that evening to accommodate our dancers.  We have 5 couples signed up for the visitation.  Wear your club colours.  I have emailed a map of the hall location to those who have signed up, and included directions to our house for drinks afterwards, as we live nearby.  Please let me know if you plan to join the visit and didn't receive the map.

Next week on April 19 is our famous Mystery Dance, our final dance for the Spring session.  Brent picks the theme without telling us until we get to the hall, and dancers who dress in the theme may win a prize!  Last year he did Michael Buble, and the prizes were converted to spot prizes as no one but Brent looked the part.  The Stardowners will visit us and we hope to see you too!  Past dancers, please join us to socialize and listen to Brent's wonderful singing.
