Very Sad News - Walter Witt

I'm very sorry to let you know that Walter Witt passed away about an hour ago.  He had been suffering greatly the last few days.  He did get time with all his kids.  He was going to turn 89 soon, which was why I happened to call Ilona today. 

There will be a service in April sometime and I will provide details once available.

We will bring a card to the dance Thursday for all to sign. If you'd like to send your own card to Ilona, here is her address:

Brent’s Bunch is DARK March 9

A reminder we are DARK this coming Thursday, March 9.

We do not have a visitation planned, but encourage you to dance at another club in the area.  Abbotsford Grand Square dance Thursday night, and Royal Swingers dance this Friday night.

We hope to see you next Thursday, March 16 at our St. Patrick's Dance.  We can probably twist Brent's arm to sing Oh Danny Boy, always a highlight.  If you are on the injured list, we would love to see you for a visit!

VIsit to Surrey Square Wheelers

We had a good time at Surrey Square Wheelers tonight, enjoying the club's warm welcome, Brent's & Steve's calling & Krista's cuing.

Brent’s Bunch is DARK February 23 / Club Visit February 21

Due to Brent's business travel, we will not be dancing at Burnaby Lake Pavilion on Thursday, February 23.  We plan to dance at Surrey Square Wheelers on Tuesday, February 21.  So far we have Brent & Therese coming, and 2 couples who are members of both clubs, who will wear their burgundy & white.  So unless we get some more signing up, this will be an informal visit.  Let me know if you plan to join us.

Surrey Square Wheelers dance from 7-9 pm at Brookswood Seniors Centre, 19899 36 Avenue, Langley BC.  Hope to see you there!

Brent Mawdsley Sings Love Songs this Thursday night

Just a reminder that our Valentine's Love Songs Dance is this coming Thursday, February 9. No one sings love songs like Brent, so dig out your red and/or hearts finery and join us for a wonderful evening!

I also remind you that we will be DARK on February 23, March 9 and March 23. If enough people are ready, we will arrange visitations to other clubs those weeks. Stay tuned for details!

Drop in rate is $9 per person. Cash, debit or credit cards accepted
Singles - join a square and put up your hand and a partner will appear
Door prizes
(No food or beverages will be served.)
Past dancers, you are welcome to come by at no charge to hear Brent sing and visit.

I propose that we maintain the current schedule and programme with doors open at 7:15pm and Plus Square Dancing and Rounds from 7:30 – 9:15pm, with no drinks or food provided.  

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or face masks are NOT required but face masks are always welcome as your personal choice.
