Brent and Ron Booiman

Brent and Ron treated us to a couple of duets tonight at Brent's Bunch.

You can catch them again Sunday, April 30 2:00 - 4:30 pm at the benefit dance for the Zajac Ranch for Children.  Brent and Ron will be joined by Ray Brendzy, Steve Edlund and Chris Knowles for an afternoon of Mainstream singing calls.  Brian Penny will cue the rounds.  Hope to see you at the ASAA Hall, 33889 Essendene Ave, Abbotsford.  Admission by donation (minimum $10/person).  Tax receipts available if over $20.

Reminder: Brent's Bunch is DARK this Thursday, March 23

On Thursday, March 23, the Burnaby Lake Pavilion is not available so Brent's Bunch will be dark, but we are going to make a club visit to the Abbotsford Grand Squares to enjoy dancing Plus with Steve Edlund from 7 – 9pm at the ASAA Hall, 33889 Essendene Avenue, Abbotsford. 

Chuck and I would be glad to give two people a ride.  If you need or are willing to offer a ride, please let me know asap.  Thanks!

Walter Witt

As many of you know, Walter Witt passed away last Saturday from lung cancer.

His Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 22.  Here is a link to his obituary with details:

Walter was a founding member of Brent's Bunch, and even after he was no longer able to dance, he accompanied Ilona to the dances and was a terrific salesman of 50/50 tickets.

Brent’s Bunch Update March 2023

Hi Brent's Bunch Members & Guests,

I'm looking forward to seeing you again on Thursday, March 16 for our St. Patrick's Party 7:30pm at the Burnaby Lake Pavilion.  We will have Irish music, decorations, door prizes, and refreshments.  Wear your green if you like.   

On Saturday, March 18, Scott Coon & I will be calling a Mainstream with Pre-Plus Dance for the Chilliwack Rhythm Reelers at the Atchelitz Hall, 6542 Lickman Road, Chilliwack, BC.  Plus dancing from 6:30 – 7:00 pm and Mainstream dancing with rounds from 7:00 –  9:00 pm.  You will hear lots of great duets and a little Elvis from Scott who is also an award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA). 

On Thursday, March 23, the Burnaby Lake Pavilion is not available so Brent's Bunch will be dark, but we are going to make a club visit to the Abbotsford Grand Squares to enjoy dancing Plus with Steve Edlund from 7 – 9pm at the ASAA Hall, 33889 Essendene Avenue, Abbotsford.  Let's arrange some carpools and enjoy the ride & a visitation.

Very Sad News - Walter Witt

I'm very sorry to let you know that Walter Witt passed away about an hour ago.  He had been suffering greatly the last few days.  He did get time with all his kids.  He was going to turn 89 soon, which was why I happened to call Ilona today. 

There will be a service in April sometime and I will provide details once available.
